Support Analyst Programmer, Rainton Bridge, Tyne & Wear

Our Support Team play a pivotal role supporting the whole business, offering 1st, 2nd even 3rd line support in order to keep our clients’ campaigns up, running and recovering revenue. The Support team are set to expand in 2018, continuing SaleCycle’s impressive growth plans. You will take ownership for your support queue, becoming a vital knowledge base for all!


As Support Analyst Programmer, you will…

  • Work in a fast paced, pressured environment, efficiently resolving all identified performance discrepancies by utilising a variety of programming skills, but predominantly client-side JavaScript and SQL
  • Swiftly communicate performance issues to the wider team, documenting relevant details
  • Implement the necessary fixes, enhancements and technical requests required for resolution by utilising your varied programming knowledge and ability
  • Effectively prioritise and document support desk tickets, which arrive both from clients direct and our own Account Managers, communicating updates to a variety of stakeholders
  • Contribute to the Technology Team by identifying and recommending improvements to the functionality of our software platform, keeping it cutting edge and market leading
  • Show pride in the quality of your work and see testing as the remit of everyone, test everything, automating where possible
  • Provide regular updates (targets, KPIs, progress, issues etc) to the Support Manager
  • Provide a support service to the other areas of the business, in the form of queries, change requests etc, in order to maintain business performance and an environment of collaboration and teamwork


Essentially you will…

  • Be experienced in JavaScript, SQL Server, and ideally (but not essentially) Source Control (e.g. GitHub)
  • Come with technical support / helpdesk experience, where your analytical and investigation skills have been well-honed
  • Be an expert at analysing and problem solving, using out of the box ideas when needed
  • Have strong, adaptable communication skills, able to translate potentially complex issues to varied levels of understanding, both written and verbally
  • Be a committed team player, able to integrate easily into our close-knit environment.
  • Be comfortable working with data day in, day out
  • Remain calm and composed in pressurized environments
