Data Analyst, Rainton Bridge, Tyne & Wear

We’re now looking for an experienced Data Analyst, with a passion for reporting and analytics, to meet our data challenges. You’ll join our International team, contributing and shaping our approach to data. Our technology scopes across AWS services such as EMR, Kinesis, Redshift and DynamoDB, as well as data processing frameworks such as Spark, Flink and Ignite; this is an unprecedented opportunity to be a critical part of something special!


As Data Analyst, you will…

  • Enable us to meet both our Internal and External data needs, whilst helping to deliver the strategy, policies and processes for the newly established data team
  • Produce metrics which will allow us to create marketing material and best practice guides helping us to maintain our market leading status
  • Improve our processes by suggesting areas for self-service or automation, and use data driven solutions for delivering these improvements
  • Analyse new features and the performance of our campaigns by meticulously investigating our figures, feeding back any insights or trends to the wider business
  • Train our client-facing teams to read data driven reports, empowering them to hold data related conversations with clients and present results based on your analytics
  • Be passionate about the world of data and be excited about keeping up to date with the latest innovations, technologies and industry changes


Essentially you will…

  • Have experience working with large databases through strong SQL skills
  • Be experienced in Business Intelligence, preferably gained within the digital sector, including using market leading Business Intelligence tools (for example: Qlik, Tableau, Alteryx, Business Objects etc.) to build efficient data models and user friendly interfaces
  • Demonstrate logical and analytical thinking via a mathematical and / or technical background
  • Assist with managing Data Governance in the business teams
  • Enjoy working with data from collection and curation to transforming it into information
  • Have the ability to understand our business requirements and translate these into deliverables
  • Be an active contributor to a high performing data team, be organised and self-motivated
